Colleen offered me my first full-time job on her Aquatic staff at the Santa Barbara YMCA after I graduated from UCSB. During my time working for her, she provided invaluable leadership for a young professional like myself, including encouraging me to attend professional development trainings and enabling me to run a subsidized, adaptive swim program for children with disabilities at the YMCA. Although I'm extremely grateful for the professional support Colleen provided me at the YMCA, I'm especially appreciative of the personal connection we developed over the years since we moved on from the YMCA -- Colleen has been one of the most important mentors in my life outside of my family. I think Colleen will bring great value and substance to any program that she joins, and that the people she works with will be lucky to have her on their team.

I have known Colleen for a number of years in at least three capacities. She was a member of the church I pastored, I served with her on a nominating committee for CEF and worked with her on the YMCA Good Friday Breakfast. She is dedicated, loving, kind, a very hard worker and has an incredible faith that has carried her through some pretty tough times. My life has been enriched through knowing and working with her.
