Sep 2011 - Oct 2013
A group of volunteers created and ran a haunted woods during October at the Brain Injury Adventure Camp in order to raise money for the camp operations. I helped organize their boxes of costumes with a system to cross reference masks and wigs with where the costumes were stored. I also performed on the trail in different aspects each of the three years. Point of Contact
-
Aug 2010 - Sep 2011
The Family Readiness Group is the support network for families of deployed soldiers. As a point of contact I maintained current records, in some cases that hadn't been updated in years. I also contacted military families monthly and fielded questions regarding the deployment, procedures, and informed them of communication black outs. I also attended monthly meetings with other POCs and and quarterly networking functions with families in the area. The Family Readiness Group is the support network for families of deployed soldiers. Volunteer
-
Feb 2008 - Sep 2008
This business was active with hosting fundraising events and I became an active volunteer in 2008. I helped organize and entertain for a Mardi Gras ball in February to raise money for a local no-kill shelter. During the summer there was an ongoing effort to bring awareness to greener practices and Gaelic Dreams organized a food stand that I helped with. During my military career I had vastly different roles while deployed and in garrison. During this time I held a TS-SCI security clearance which expired around 2010, and the Secret Clearance expired around 2015. Deployment: I took debriefs from soldiers, analyzed the information, created and consolidated reports for the Squadron and Brigade Commanders. Based on received reports and debriefs I performed combat briefs up to 4-5 times a day. I created a system to track time, location, type, and frequency of attacks to use as a better tool for analysis in determining possible future attacks. I was tasked with learning and explaining possible religious and cultural meanings behind unusual behavior. Garrison: Maintained a database of current security clearances, created weekly briefs on the status of ongoing security clearance investigations. Updated orders based on physical security roles such as for the arms room attendants and key holders. Performed quarterly audits of all physical security items to ensure all regulations were met and escorted Brigade or DOD auditors in yearly checks. Before leaving I created a step-by-step guide on how to perform my garrison duties to ensure quicker integration times for new office members. Show less
