      Greater Boston Area As part of the NSF GK-12 Boston Urban Fellows program I served as a visiting expert in a high school classroom at Boston Green Academy (BGA), an in-district Horace Mann charter school serving grades 6 and 9-12 in the Boston Public Schools.       Berlin Area, Germany During the summer of 2008 I was awarded a position as a research intern through the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). I worked alongside a German graduate student researching thin film organic electronics for use in photovoltaics. My responsibilities included helping perform evaporative depositions onto silicon substrates in ultra-high vacuum environments and characterizing samples using atomic force microscopy (AFM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).
