Provide expert advice, assistance and support to all FCC customer service staff on safety legislation and performance as a result of the Thameslink Programme. Develop and maintain an excellent working knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation and FCC health & safety policies, procedures and other documentation. Develop, implement & maintain an effective regime of monitoring and audit to ensure all activities associated with the Thameslink programme that impact upon the operation of the customer Service function, whether carried out internally or by contractors are undertaken safely and in compliance with relevant legislative and industry requirements. Provide regular update reports (including Flash Report) to the Safety Process Manager and Thameslink Programme Director. Undertake & input to the safety requirements for new train’s safety assessment changes to depot arrangement for maintenance and stabling arrangements, maintenance organisation structures, workplace and task based risk assessments.To assist with investigation, determine the causes of accidents, dangerous occurrences & other incidents that occur during the construction phases of the Thameslink Programme, to make recommendations to prevent a recurrence; and to monitor the Implementation & effectiveness of those recommendations. Provision of pre & post location construction phase inspections to ensure that all works undertaken by FCC or third parties are safe & do not expose FCC staff or customers to any risk. Develop effective liaison arrangements with personnel from other agencies involved in the Thameslink Programme, including Network Rail, ORR, LUL & major construction firms. Attend project meetings within FCC and with Third Parties (LUL, Network Rail, etc) to ensure that project information is discussed
