I have had the fortune of supervising Colin for two academic years through his role as a Leadership Mentor for the Garthwait Leadership Center (GLC) at Gettysburg College. In spring 2010, Colin was selected as one of the founding student staff members of the GLC as Leadership Mentor. His task as an inaugural Leadership Mentor was to work with seven other students to create a leadership center on campus that provides knowledge, experiences, and resources for peers to develop their leadership skills. Colin has worked tirelessly with the team to create the GLC while maintaining an excellent academic record and participating in many other learning opportunities at the College. Colin is an excellent student, hard worker, and dedicated employee. He is well liked amongst his peers and is very respectful to all around him. He consistently demonstrates values-based leadership, even in difficult and challenging situations. Colin has been a valuable member of our team and I am confident that he can translate his talents to many other roles and responsibilities.
