During my time at these two surf schools, I taught people who were unfamiliar with the ocean, ocean safety and ocean awareness. I gave oral instructions and beach demonstrations of proper wave riding techniques, as well as helpful tricks, tips and tools. I pushed people into waves while giving them the easiest possible scenario for success. I also constantly gave people moral support in their times of self doubt, and helped them push themselves beyond what they thought possible. During my time at the Blue Planet Foundation, my primary responsibility was to complete the analysis and research underlying Blue Planet's 2015 State of Hawai'i Energy Report Card. I also worked on various other projects with the Blue Planet Foundation. I contributed to Blue Planet's regulatory filings before the Hawai'i Public Utilities Commission, which entailed attending official regulatory hearings, and combing through hundreds of pages of information requests and responses.
