Sarasas Witaed Bangbon International School provides a Primary programme of study linked to the English National Curriculum. Developed especially to meet the needs of our talented, multi-lingual, international student body, it supports the achievement and successes of all children in the school. All children study thematically; curriculum areas include Literacy, Numeracy, Mandarin, Thai, Computing, Science, History, Physical Education, Geography, Music, Drama, Citizenship, Art and Design. Subject strands and objectives are carefully woven together to create immersive and interconnected units of learning. Four to Eight topics are studied during each academic year. The curriculum within EY1 and EY2 classes is shaped by the Early Years and Foundation Stage framework. An integrated programme of learning and care, it is founded upon a series of developmental markers and split into Prime and Specific areas. Critical to the development of the whole child, prime areas form a significant focus of early childhood development. Within this area, children learn about: Personal and Social Education, Physical Development, Communication and Language. More familiar to many parents, specific areas shape the academic interests of children as they move through the Early Years. Within this area, children learn about: Literacy, Numeracy (Mathematics), Understanding of the World, Expressive Arts and Design.

Sarasas Witaed Bangbon International School's (SWBIS) core purpose is to ensure that all students acquire the skills and attributes to become leaders; with strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate: determination, knowledge, and adaptability, for a better world. The current generation of students have particular needs as learners in the 21st century, and will face various new challenges throughout their lives. The University of Cambridge defines the current generation of students as, ‘multi-taskers, people who text as much as they talk, digitally literate, personalised learners, requiring social orientation, needing immediate feedback and having short attention spans’. These factors, coupled with the extreme pace of change in this digital age and the wider needs of society in the 21st Century, influence the curriculum we provide. For the purpose of developing determined, knowledgeable and adaptable students, SWBIS provides four strands of education; * Attainment at a high level in the chosen academic programmes. * An awareness of one's own strengths and weaknesses with humility. This is gained by active participation in Leadership in Action (extra curricular) opportunities as well as the academic programmes. * Ability to relate to others with tolerance, respect and consideration whatever their beliefs and attitudes. This is gained through Leadership in Action opportunities, House contributions and Boarding. * Adopt an outstanding set of values: understanding right from wrong, handling success & disappointment and accepting that one's actions have consequences. Our Curriculum therefore places strong emphasis on the ‘Essential Core Skills’; Literacy (reading, writing, speaking & listening in English), mathematics, and digital literacy. SWBIS provide transferable learning skills’,essential for success in the twenty first century, to aid students in their ability to successfully communicate, collaborate and develop creative critical thinking skills.
