      A 12-week industrial project with TÜV SÜD Wallace Whittle as part of the 5th year of Heriot Watt's MEng Architectural Engineering programme. Have completed various building services tasks on live projects in both Mechanical and Electrical Services including: Creating a full IES model and running simulations upon it to determine required loads and energy consumption. Duct & pipe design and sizing for cold & domestic hot water, drainage, low temperature hot water, and mechanical ventilation through hand calculations and Hevacomp software, as well as component sizing such as diffusers, fans, pumps etc. Creation of an electrical lighting scheme using Dialux software package. Simulation of electrical design to check cable sizing using Amtech software. Hand drawings of mechanical services design to be relayed to CAD team. Show less
