The research undertaken included a study to analyse data collected during the operation of three fuel cell buses including their reliability and efficiency under different geographic, environmental and operational conditions. The operational data was incorporated into a societal cost-benefit analysis that examined the effects of capital, fuel, maintenance and external costs on the through-life cost of the buses.
