  Tasked with the responsibility of conducting research on the effects of messenger RNA, long non-coding RNA and micro-RNA on the healing impairments and pathogenesis of diabetic wounds. This included the use of Western blot and PCR analysis to quantify relative gene expression of treated cells. Assisted in the collection of tissue samples from live rodents and human organs. Aided in the writing of two abstracts and preparation and execution of two presentations given at the Academic Surgical Congress conferences in Las Vegas, NV and Jacksonville, FL.
