Colby Beal is a force to be reckoned with. Watching this guy grow and challenge himself over the past year and change has been one of my most memorable sales experiences in my career. Colby joined our team as a BDR, but through an unforeseen turn of events (these happen on the regular at startups) I had to move him over to our channel organization. Colby had never done channels. Hell, he'd never sold a complex SaaS platform before. After a successful stint there, I moved him back to the BDR role and he just kicked everyone's ass. He had taken his game to a whole other level. With a "yes sir" attitude, Colby jumped in and figured it out. He took criticism from both leadership and peers with joy and quickly actioned it to improve. His competitive spirit drives him and his work ethic is both refreshing and infectious. Colby was often at work before me and made sure he stayed later than his peers. As I struggled to get my kid to school on time, Colby would always be there to greet me and give me shit about coming in late. When you meet Colby in person, all you'll see is GQ. A 6'3" guy who can throw a 90+ MPH fastball. I hope you'll see what I've been taught to see and you better figure out quickly, a future CEO waiting to happen. Anyone would be proud and lucky to say that you once worked with Colby Beal. That much I know.
