  This orientation experience is created by students for students who are beginning their journey at university, specifically students with disabilities and students who come from socio-economic disadvantaged backgrounds. The student to student interaction gives the programme a comfortable, insightful and informative experience for incoming students. This would not be accomplishment without the help of current Maynooth University students who volunteer as MAP ambassadors during this programme. MAP ambassadors are given the opportunity to share their university experience with the incoming students, providing them with advice from what they have learned since their first day of study. Current MAP ambassadors were once walking in the shoes of the incoming students so there is a heavy influence of empathy and understanding throughout each engagement. Show less
