I have worked with Cobus, and have had Cobus work for me via a contractor for many years. Our relationship started with him working for an out sourcing company for projects for my service. He ran those projects efficiently and effectively. His passion and leadership skills helped a struggling project get momentum and he was a key contributor for making the project a success (Windows 2007 Operating system migration). After this project Cobus worked for my service directly providing operational support, and once again performed the role admirably. Both his company, and myself the client were very satisfied with his performance. I was so much that when an opportunity to join our team directly as an employee we hired Cobus directly, and we became peers. Together we ran several end user facing services for 14+ geographically dispersed teams in 5 different countries successfully for several years. I would hire him again, work with him, or for him instantly. His passion for doing the right thing, costumer service, managing to deadlines and executing work in a safe and professional manner are all traits I admire about Cobus.
