James Hemphill

Scott was the pastor at Creekside Christian Church in Brentwood, CA. Although our relationship was short lived because of some changes Scott had to make, he impacted my life dramatically. He understood how to talk to people to make them feel comfortable with opening up. He understood how to walk like a man of Christ which made him a very good mentor to follow. He is a great person that makes everyone around him feel like they are they same. All internal qualities that make a difference in peoples life.

Scott Jenkins PPO CPP CSS

I have known Scott for more than 10 years and had never before met a more devoted, passionate, driven person who puts the needs of others before his own. Scott is not only a dear friend but a true professional, committed to what he does, with the utmost integrity.

I lead the DCPI Training Team toward the fulfillment of our vision of equipping leaders to plant five million dynamic churches worldwide to reach the world for Christ. We are currently training 25,000 leaders around the world per year and are striving to be training 100,000 leaders per year in every country of the world by 2021. Managing the headquarter coordinators and the training team staff, I help to create a mentoring culture that will empower indigenous leaders to plant churches and launch church planting movements all over the world. I love to communicate God’s great news, encourage leaders, and build teams who will live the exciting life of boldly following Jesus together.

My wife and I planted Creekside with the partnership of Stadia (www.stadia.cc) and over ten years we were privileged to see God move in many amazing ways. We had the pleasure of seeing hundreds of people make a first time commitment to become Christ followers, we helped many new believers become disciples, and we saw Christians develop into ministry leaders. Through Creekside, we began numerous ministries including a recovery ministry, a counseling center with four licensed therapists, and a thriving youth ministry. Creekside also helped plant a daughter church in Concord, CA in 2004.

During my season at Parkcrest there was significant growth in the church and within the youth ministry as the church blossomed from 750 to 1,500 weekly attendees. Supervising a full-time junior high director, three interns, and a team of 20 volunteers, it was an exciting time of transformation for students within the church and the community as well. Re-establishing a youth ministry at Crossroads was a very rewarding endeavor. Recruiting and developing a volunteer team of young adults and parents who were passionate about mentoring young people allowed the ministry to grow from the three students who showed up for our first midweek gathering into a thriving community of over 100 junior high and high schoolers. Walking into an established and healthy youth ministry, I was able to further develop and equip our youth staff to mentor teenagers while also creating a culture within the students to reach out to friends on their campus. Christ First became a safe place for high schoolers to investigate the dangerous life of following Jesus and many teenagers began to follow Christ for the first time. The most rewarding thing about my time in Covina is seeing the number of young people from that group who are now serving in full-time ministry.
