I have seen Carlos grow over the years having worked with him for several years. We have worked on several projects together and through the obstacles and roadblocks we've encountered, he has always stayed focused with a positive attitude and dedicated to seeing the project through. He has the ability to adapt in a new environment and not afraid to learn any new process and ready to get his hands dirty to get the project done. He is well educated and also willing to try new things. I can recollect a project where we needed someone to take up a development role as we lost our main development support to other projects. Carlos, took the lead on the effort, put himself through the appropriate training and brought himself up to speed to take the role upon himself to keep the project going. Just the fact that he was able to step up and step outside his comfort zone, makes him a valuable individual you want on your team. A combination of focused, positive outlook and the ability to step outside his zone makes him a worthy member of any team.

I had the pleasure of working with Carlos while he was at Verizon Wireless. He fit right into the group and everyone liked him. When he first came, he was working with 2 other people on releases. As the years passed, he showed himself to be a very motivated person. He wasn't afraid to learn new things and usually, he would take it upon himself to learn the program/system without being asked to. Then he would be able to take on more responsibility as he was able to let his supervisor know he knew the program/system. When his boss retired and they had to bring on a new one, Carlos is the person who actually trained his new boss on how they worked the releases and what they did to make them run smoothly. Carlos is not afraid of hard work and he enjoys challenges, he goes at them head-on. He gets along with his co-workers and I have never heard of anyone complaining because he wouldn't jump in and help where needed.
