      The ESU, a national non-profit, non-political education and cultural organization, advances global understanding by providing educational opportunities through programs and scholarships for students, educators and immigrants. We reach 60,000 constituents annually. Since 2010, I have re-focused established programs and overseen the development of new initiatives to address current educational needs. For new and established programs, we collaborate with national organizations, harnessing the power of volunteers and constituencies across the country, to deliver best practices in education to a diverse demographic. Annual Impact: National Shakespeare Competition: 22,050 students and 1,750 teachers TLab (Teachers Learning Abroad at Oxford, Edinburgh and Shakespeare's Globe): 70 teachers Middle School Debate: 2,190 students engaged in 39,420 minutes of debate English in Action (1-1 conversation): 684 Adult English Language Learners, 425 volunteer tutors Andrew Romay New Immigrant Center: 380 immigrants (1,500 from 80+ countries since founding in 2013) Program partners include: Oxford University, University of Edinburgh, Shakespeare's Globe (London), Shakespeare Birthplace Trust (Stratford-upon-Avon, UK), Claremont McKenna College, HIAS, WES, Riverside Language Program, Streetwise Partners, BADA and American Shakespeare Center.
