In late 2014 my design was shortlisted following an international competition run by a Ghanaian charity, with the brief of 'reinventing the mud house'. In the long run, this charity hopes that through building this dwelling the Ghanaian's preconception of mud houses being for the very poor will be altered. In June 2015, I will travel out to Ghana with a team of volunteers and realise my design. Please see HandmadeHouseGhana.co.uk for more details and updates.

I have undertaken a range of roles at KCA in the last year, predominantly realising plans through model making at various scales, and research and development on new and existing bids. I have mainly worked on projects within London, ranging from smaller redevelopments of existing estates to master planning swathes of the city with budgets exceeding £400m.

I was fortunate enough to have this opportunity to gain experience in this practise and get an insight into the workings of a busy architectural workplace; through this weeks experience I was introduced to many programs, including CAD and SketchUp Pro as well as the more research based elements of project foundations.
