Andrew Marshall

My time with LSI was during a difficult time for the business and involved a great deal of change for the business. Clive was responsible for all things technical within the business and was an invaluble asset. The significant business change that occurred was a complete reshape and re-location from Cornwall to Somerset. Clives skill and willingness in managing both his technical team and the existing client base made the business transformation I was tasked with, run smoothly. A great asset to any company, and someone I would enjoy the opportunity to work with again.

The Solsoft Group provides premium managed services and support to SMB’s within the South West of England.Initially the role was to replace a project engineer who was leaving the project team and therefore to ultise my Microsoft and other skills to deliver solutions to our clients. Once in post, the role morphed into a full consultancy, pre-sales, project management and project delivery role, providing strategic advice, consultancy, analysis and Infrastructure Architecting to the large client base and pre-sales support to the sales team.I took over the vendor management and Vendor selection product selection / research and development and management of the training within Solsoft. This allowed Solsoft to grow the portfolio of products and services which we were able to offer and deliver to our clients. This change in role included a great deal of client interaction and following finding, quoting, negotiating and winning two of the largest managed service clients Solsoft had, I also added Account Management to the role. With my previous experience within the technical support arena and working as a field engineer, I worked with the business management team to improve our support service offering, improve customer service levels and support capabilities; re-assigning staff, employing new staff and changing the delivery model.Managing the companies ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System was also something I undertook, ensuring that documentation was up to date and the standard maintained. I also managed the implementation, internal training of and final adoption of our new Professional Service Automation (CRM + Call Management) system.
