We work in partnership with employers to ensure the provision is of the highest quality and relevant to industry needs. Employers we work with include, MOD, Rolls-Royce, QuEST Global, Numatic, EDF Energy, GE Oil and Gas and Gerber Foods. Whilst the core of our curriculum remains focused on manufacturing and production engineering, we are continually adapting and adding to our portfolio in order to meet strong and growing employer demand.

The initial pilots were part of a Department for Education and Skills (DfES), Standards Unit programme of work, commissioned as one response to the challenges set out by the Equipping our Teachers for the Future: Reforming Initial Teacher Training for the Learning and Skills Sector. More specifically, the pilot programme of work looked to respond to some of the proposals contained in theme 3 (Developing leaders, teachers, trainers and support staff of the future).
