      TRANSPORTATION TECHNICIAN III Worked as a Civil Engineering Inspector (CEI) previously for I-85 (C-202383) in Rowan and Davidson Counties including bridges over the Yadkin River and North Carolina Railroad) and now I-85/I-485 (C-202523) in Mecklenburg County (including the I-85/I-485 interchange and Mallard Creek bridge over I-85) Performed a variety of inspections including that of substructure and superstructure bridge components; including deep foundation piles, spread footings, bent columns, end bents, precast concrete and steel girder erection, and concrete guardrail. Other inspections include that of drilled shafts; including driving steel casings, drilling operations, performing rock classification, depth verification, air lifting debris, and SID testing. I also performed inspections for MSE wall and temporary wire wall construction; including the leveling pad, tie anchors and panel placement, stone backfill, and placement of precast/cast-in-place coping. Additional areas of inspection include; concrete culverts, reinforced bridge approach fill, structural fill and soil densities, ABC stone placement and asphalt placement. Throughtout my work as an inspector I was tasked with organizing, documenting, and turning in paperwork including materials received, stone ticket books, and concrete sample cards; all of which were recorded for material payout per the project documents and contract.
