My next Grand Adventure starts here at the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol. I am super excited to learn from the very best, have my first shot at Bluechip Filmmaking and most importantly to do what I love most in the whole world - documenting Africa’s Spectacular Wildlife. My name is Clement Kiragu; a storyteller, a child of Africa, documenting Africa, her Wildlife and her People mainly through the artforms of Photography and Cinematography. My journey in the visual arts started in Art School, where I studied Fine Art and majored in Graphic Design. After which, I spent ten years as an Art Director. I have been photographing wildlife for over eight years, and my love for it keeps getting deeper with every expedition I do. My current goal is to use the knowledge I continue to accumulate to bring impact through Wildlife Films. I am currently embarking on a journey to illuminate issues facing Predators, all predators in Africa, not just Big, such as habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict due to human settlement, and climate change, to name a few. Predators play a vital role in keeping balance in nature and are in massive danger as their numbers dwindle every year, and some are going extinct right before our eyes, in our lifetime. I hope that my message will play a part in bringing a change of mindset that would give predators a fighting chance. Then, hopefully, generations to come will experience these magnificent creatures that I love so much. In April 2022 our first short film was been funded by the National Geographic Society. Please follow this new venture @predatorexpeditions on Facebook and Instagram. For more details on how you can help us tell more African stories, email kiragu@clementwild.com Show less

    • Photographer & Creative Head

Visual Magic Africa Ltd was created in January 2016 out of the need for fully fledged production house. A company that provides both photography and production and that delivered a finished product ready for agency execution. Our Director and founder Clement Kiragu has over 10 years of experience as a creative - having worked as an Art Director in Kenya’s leading Ad Agencies. At his tenure in the advertising world, Clement saw first hand the impact that bad photography, lighting and composition combined with poor retouching would impact on the creative outcome of a project. This pushed Clement to take professional high end retouching courses from leading international commercial photographers mainly RGGEDU. That came with a new burning passion for photography. In January 2016 VMA was formed. At Visual Magic Africa we pride ourselves in providing well lit, composed images that are made in camera and not reliant on editing. Our High End Retouching skills only enhance the images that we have already photographed properly. We are firm believers in - Images are made in lighting and in camera, not in Photoshop. Our professional and qualified production team is made up of efficient, experienced group of professionals that get the job done. We take your concept and bring it to life through all the stages of planning, production, photography, retouching and give you finished retouched images. We want creatives to spend their time doing what they do best - Creating powerful communication. Let us create for you those powerful images that complete your vision. Show less
