    • Industrial Professor- Innovation and Entreprenurship
      • Aug 2022 - Aug 2023

Interviewed leading experts in the field of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at world Class incubators including SIINE - IIT India, Tufts University, Harvard and MIT to understand the challenges of building incubators and how to engineer one that would support the growth of Global Unicorns. Researched Structural problems that reduce the innovation and productivity of an environment, specifically Edmonton, Alberta. Used the work of Max Kleeber, Clayton Christensen, Adam Grant, Bob Moesta among others to design the worlds first Innovation DAO. Initiated the start of implementing the incubator design. Reason for leaving: Extreme stress caused by the faculty following threats to employment and being called "mentally challenged" by Faculty. Pursued action thorough the union until faculty denied the events. Resigned in protest. Yes it was also "He said She said". Show less

Responsible for bringing world class AI and Technology companies in the City of Edmonton. Reason for leaving: Was fired citing concerns with my mental health after I informed executive leadership about concerns of workplace harassment and discrimination that were endemic and hindering efforts to execute job. Worked for company as contractor, fired them as a client when they repeated the same behaviour with another client. Company investigated in 2023-found no wrongdoing. Unsurprisingly it was another "he said she said" situation. (Proudly the She Said) Show less

I was recruited to join Opus One Solutions for my breadth of expertise in cleantech and renewable energy funding. I strategically direct business development, fostering partnerships with Canadian and global utilities providers and funding agencies. Identifying opportunities to obtain funding for R&D initiative, I collaborate with the utilities companies to support technology development. In this role, and for much of my career, I’m the “translator;” I interpret business needs into technical requirements and facilitate collaboration and effective communication between business and technical stakeholders. While early in this role, a few notable achievements include: ● I’m currently building the customer and regulator engagement strategy to drive future growth ● Creating the go-to-market strategy for our microgrid DERMS solution, which includes developing pricing models, market segmentation, and identifying ways to adapt the product to meet market needs ● Serving as a key contributor to Opus’ expansion into the UK market, opening up considerable growth opportunities Show less

    • Portfolio Manager (Official title: Manager, Project)
      • Jan 2017 - Oct 2018

My work at SDTC—helping fund cleantech—was incredibly fulfilling for me. Under the official title of Manager, Projects, I oversaw a portfolio of cleantech companies supported by the government funding agency. These companies represented sectors including nuclear fusion and fission, plastics recycling, energy storage and AI, electricity, and quantum computing. I partnered with companies seeking funding, and developed a holistic understanding of all aspects of their businesses including tech, due diligence, business strategies, and go-to-market plans. This work also involved engaging with venture capital funds, other government agencies, and high network investors. I served as an ambassador for my portfolio of companies and connected trailblazing tech with investment necessary to take their solutions to market. Reason for leaving: Was recruited into a tech Start-up and this company began committing fraud which i was uncomfortable with. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/sustainable-development-technologies-canada-champagne-1.6985847 Show less

Most notably, I leveraged my data science background and proactively redesigned and simplified an intellectual property management survey sent to post-secondary institutions across Canada, increased the data pool, and built the framework to interpret the data. Reason for leaving: Was offered a pay cut after doing a 3rd masters degree because i did not have experience writing "public policy" Most notably, I leveraged my data science background and proactively redesigned and simplified an intellectual property management survey sent to post-secondary institutions across Canada, increased the data pool, and built the framework to interpret the data. Originally joining Bell as Project Manager within the leadership program, I quickly transitioned into Analytics Lead as part of the first data analytics team that was actually embedded within a project team. This was my first foray into data science, and I am proud of quickly learning analytics and how to map the internet product end-to-end. In fact, after I left Bell, my colleagues would still call me about my work. My time at Bell allowed me to build a robust foundation in data: how to read it, how to interpret it, and how to translate it into business impact. Along with this strength, I also contributed the following: ● Developed the “gold standard” for business intelligence coding after I self-taught myself SAS Enterprise Guide in only 6 months and mapped Bell’s internet product line end-to-end ● Boosted global adoption 30% in only 2 weeks and rescued a call centre software rollout initiative by overhauling adoption reports to incentivize users to make use of the new tool. ● Ensured continued success of the call centre project by stepping in as liaison and “translator,” fostering collaboration between the business and the business intelligence teams ● Successfully mapped the customer journey from online to in-store for the 1st time ever at Bell. My work was recognized with an excellence award, for which I was selected from thousands of employees company-wide. ● Identified millions of dollars in savings by pinpointing customer behaviour and attrition related to incentives. This sparked a procedural change in the customer and modified how customers were engaged. Used principals of gamification and NPS to engineer adoption strategies. Reason for leaving: LOVED this job. HATED this company. Got bored when they told me i didnt have enough experience to get promoted unless i did a PMP. Left to do a second masters to study Barriers for adoption for disruptive tech adoption. Worked in startup on the side. Show less

Growing up, my dream job was to work for NASA, and this brought me pretty close. As a Design Engineer, I planned and oversaw repairs for the Canadian military’s fleet of C-130 airplanes, designing and scoping 100+ repairs for various aircrafts. As a mission-driven person, I was thrilled to support the Canadian armed forces and enable their work with safe and operational aircrafts. I was also designated as the liaison between the maintenance shop floor and the engineering team as a result of my strength in cross-functional communication and engagement. Reason for leaving: Unsafe workplace environment, rampant sexism and racism. Left industry due to the issues. Was told by management not to look into health and safety concerns when I developed asthma due to paint stripping. Guys called me a princess because they wanted to shit in the bathroom that was in the boardroom the company moved me in. Got bored. Show less
