Clayton worked for us as both a substitute teacher and for some of our short term programs for private junior and senior high schools in the Tokyo area. I observed one of his substitute classes at one of our more challenging schools. He quickly was able to build rapport with the students while following the lesson plan and keeping students on task. He also showed excellent team building skills among the teachers on our short term programs. I would have loved to have been able to hire him full time. I was personally disappointed to hear he was heading back due to the difficulty of finding someone to replace him in his role. He will instantly add value to any team or organization he joins. I am looking forward to following his career progress as I know great things await him going forward.

Planned and enacted activities for after-school English clubs for middle school students. Organized and planned sessions for participants of elementary, middle school, and high school summer camps of approximately 100 students and individual sessions of up to 20 students. Taught at multiple overnight English camps, which necessitated coordination with 15 other teachers of various nationalities and backgrounds. Stayed on-call as a substitute teacher, which often required complete lesson planning on short notice for classes of around 40 students. Show less
