Franklin, West Virginia As the PR Coordinator my main job is to be a "jack-of-all-trades" towards our public perception outside of the walls of our Financial Centers. My job mainly focuses on our social media platforms, public events, donations, sponsorships, volunteerism, community outreach, and other similar events where a representative of the bank is warranted. My job mainly focuses on our social media platforms, public events, donations, sponsorships, volunteerism, community outreach, and other similar events where a representative of the bank is warranted. We, as a bank and as its employees, spend countless hours donating time, money, and effort for local causes, support other local businesses and services (e.g. fire departments/EMS, etc…), supporting education, and many other entities and activities that are local to us. I help the bank by ensuring that each instance is known throughout the bank and that we have proper representation, whether it be in man-power or monetary, and that we represent the bank as a leader in the community. From a digital standpoint, as mentioned before, I am in charge of getting posts up on Facebook on at least a once a day basis. We have recently introduced an Instagram account to the public and are making an effort to get us out there in more of a “visual” manner for those who like to just see the things we are involved in. We utilize LinkedIn as well, however, we feel our best use of the LinkedIn platform is more for our B2B needs, such as posting job listings and specific Financial Center needs, than as a social outlet. I have also come in and created a Google Business profile for each of our Financial Centers from scratch. Lastly, I am part of the team in charge of having our website redesigned. The current website was based on an older technology and within the coming year, we will have a better, more user friendly website based on responsive web technology. Working for a small businesses has been a boon to my working knowledge of how a business functions and how best to interact with customers and peers alike in a working environment that requires all employee channels to communicate and work together. I was asked to transfer to the Lancaster, SC location to take over as the head of operations for the store. This role included management of all inventory, stocking and merchandising the floor, care of the physical building itself, inventory counts, and any other tasks that ensured the location itself was always ready to open its doors and greet the day's customers. When new advertising/marketing campaigns or new devices were ready to launch, I would change the stores visuals to match the current promotion. For example, I would change the store's visuals and devices over for an iPhone launch and make sure all inventory was present and accounted for during launch day. I would also maintain the integrity of the inventory given to make sure that nothing went missing or was unaccounted for. I kept track of all the devices that were used to demonstrate for the customer and was in charge of maintaining the store's corporate account to ensure all devices were able to be live and running when needed. Loss prevention from an inventory perspective was also part of my daily duties. Making sure all devices that were new or traded in were counted correctly and able to be shipped back for the customer or ready to be sold brand new off the shelf. Verizon has a very large trade in program and maintaining the right device for a customer to receive credit for a new phone or their bill was a daily part of operations due to the high volume traded in every day.

Matthews, North Carolina Verizon transitioned the Customer Service Representative role into the Experience Specialist and looked to make the in-store experience better for its customers nationwide. I would ensure that the flow of incoming customers was always managed and stayed in order while also making sure that customers were being taken care of in a timely manner.… Show more Verizon transitioned the Customer Service Representative role into the Experience Specialist and looked to make the in-store experience better for its customers nationwide. I would ensure that the flow of incoming customers was always managed and stayed in order while also making sure that customers were being taken care of in a timely manner. I would offer my knowledge during the sales process while the Solutions Specialist was away from the customer by filling in and answering questions or demonstrating product. For a time, Verizon offered "Wireless Workshops" to customers that taught a how-to-use mobile device curriculum several times a week. One of my favorite parts of any career I have ever had was teaching these classes. I would teach any mobile operating system and would offer several classes a week split into the different operating systems available (e.g. Windows, iOS, Android, Etc...). The classes would include any subject from basic operation to more advanced skills as well as educating the customer on the processes that make cellular devices work and explaining why it is important for them to know. Every class was an opportunity to learn, not only from me teaching the customer, but also me being taught on how to best interact with a very diverse group of people.

Matthews, North Carolina As a Sales Consultant for Verizon Wireless it is your job, above all else, to deliver a great experience to your customers by delivering them correct information, great product knowledge, and practical solutions for their mobile needs. I prided myself on maintaining a leading customer satisfaction score, the number of customers I retained, and how many I had come to me repeatedly for all of their wireless requests. I always listened carefully to my customer's needs and therefor was able to maintain one of the highest attach rates in the Charlotte South district during my tenure in sales because I could understand their need and show them value in the products we had to offer. Trust was almost always given to me which allowed me to grow my repeat base and continue great relationships even as I moved into other job titles. Another facet of sales that I always participated in when I could, was outside networking. I frequently went to networking events hosted by the Matthews, NC Chamber of Commerce like the Small Business Expo that was held annually. I secured our membership for the Matthews, NC store during my tenure in sales and used it to provide the wireless internet functionality for the Expo for 80 plus other vendors. I was Constantly learning new products and services through on the job training as well as my own research. Learning of new technical problems as the devices and software became more and more complex during the peak climb of smartphones and tablets. I took care to learn all operating systems and made sure I always knew how to satisfy a displeased customer who was having an issue making their device work the best for them. This helped me segue into my next role for Verizon in moving over into the Experience Specialist position.
