Position: Discipline Responsible Engineer/Senior Instrument Engineer Client: Aibel A/S, Stavanger Norway Senior instrument engineer at Greater Ekofisk modifications Control system on 2/4 X 2012 Proposed concept to change existing control panel for the Emergency Generator on the EKOX 2/4X with a new control panel. During offshore installation a temporary generator is estimated to be used. The temp. generator must be integrated to the platform system and follow the drilling ESD and F&G philosophy. Touch display P800 ABB displays: Alarm handling/resetting log All incl. in system 800xA. Definition of tags in SCD. Tags that need history need to be defined in SCD. Resolution trending to be detailed of 1s. 3s or 9s sampling rate. Reset of alarm acc. to alarm list or faceplates, all controlled from CCR VDU or OS stations placed around the complex acc. to topology. Ref. ABB Alarm guideline: All alarms will be suppressed when Essential Generator is stationary/standby which results in no alarms are active during standby. Project estimation based on offer from ABB which incl. new local control panel with local touch screen in front. Replace the existing ABB Procontic T200 control system with ABB 800xA PLC. This upgrade will also implement include the following: Improved local and remote diagnostics, monitoring and operator interface; Individual alarms (no common alarms) and enhanced alarm system with alarm suppression. Alarms to be acknowledged on the local HMI in the generator room, but alarms will still be displayed on the HMI CCR and must be acknowledged by operators in CCR. Hardware PM891 with S800 I/O cards.
