Bio
Bob Heere
Without Claudia I would not have been a part of the ISMB program. Her people skills and adaptability were crucial to the success of this program. Managing an international team of lecturers is a challenging task considering the large differences between the educational systems in the Netherlands, UK, USA and Australia. Claudia was wonderful in managing all these different backgrounds and ensuring we were all on the same page. Her devotion to the program was unparalleled and set an example for everyone to follow
Sarah Zipp
Claudia is an excellent team leader, teacher and colleague. She is a great example of a leader with vision and creativity, but also an ideal sense of organization and detail. Claudia dreams big and has the ability to realize those goals step by step. For example, she understands how curriculum development flows from broad themes down to detailed course objectives. As she designed the ISMB programme, she understood how to bring together people of different expertise and harness our knowledge. As a manager, she empowers her team and has created a strong sense of community for all of the faculty and students. This accomplishment is especially remarkable because she has built this community with people from so many different cultures, backgrounds and languages. I highly recommend Claudia as a teacher and manager.

Volunteering for SCORE was a dream come true for me. I had been interested in South Africa since High School. I could not refuse the chance to contribute through sport to the lives of South African after Mandela became President. As volunteer I worked in Khayelitsha, the largest township of Cape Town. For six months I taught PE at a school in Khayelitsha, trained the teachers of that school to teach PE by themselves and I introduced and coordinated a softball league for all the 36 Primary… Show more Volunteering for SCORE was a dream come true for me.
