During my Internship I predominantly worked on editing original manuscript submissions to the Institute's prestigious peer-reviewed journal, 'Current Issues in Criminal Justice'. Positioned within the University of Sydney Law School, the institute’s members are strategically positioned to apply their collective crimino-legal experience in the critical analysis of contemporary practice and policy, with a particular focus on progressing social justice and law reform.'

In this role, I worked on installing the ‘Archiving Womanifesto’ exhibition at The Cross Art Projects in Kings Cross. I was responsible for framing the artworks and setting up the gallery space, as well as liaising with the artists, curators and the gallerist. 'ARCHIVING WOMANIFESTO is an exhibition about the feminist collective of artists, writers and activists that began in Thailand in 1995. Starting with the exhibition Tradisexion, this collective went on to organize biennale events that aimed to increase women’s visibility. ARCHIVING WOMANIFESTO shows the significant history of their actions and events.'

Fundraising Intern
-
Nov 2016 - Feb 2017
In 2017, I undertook a fundraising internship with Amnesty International in Hong Kong, where I worked in a cooperative environment to set up a charity art exhibition and satellite events. The exhibition featured 21 Hong Kong-based established artists, all of whom produced a new work on the theme of freedom of expression. Clearly, the erosion of civil liberties continues to be a hugely significant site of conflict in Hong Kong. I am extremely proud of my involvement with Amnesty International, especially because this experience was instrumental in fostering my passion for social activism.
