Graduation assignment: Structural design of a plastic-based automotive seatback (Patent: WO 2009/154909). Content of the assignment: • Constructing a detailed list of requirements, that was realised by doing a thorough analysis on the subject. Standards and criteria of stakeholders were taken into consideration. • Designing and constructing different concepts for the ‘new’ plastic-based seatback. Nowadays, automotive seatbacks consist mainly of steel. In the new design, almost all the steel is replaced by plastic. • Choosing and detailing the chosen design. For this I used different CAE-tools for the structural analysis, process simulation and crash simulation. Show less
