Dr. Meri Rosich
I had the pleasure of working with Claudia at Standard Chartered Bank. Claudia has a wealth of experience in fintech and it's a wonderful expert to partner with. I wish you all the best and look forward to working together again in the future.
Heinrich Hubbe
I have worked with Claudia in the context of her honorary work as President of the 'German Association-Deutsches Haus (GA)' from 2019-2021. She took at a time when the overall situation was gloomy, as the GA was renting a club house it was no longer able to afford and was faced with decreasing membership numbers. Her commitment to take over this role in such difficult times and to steer the GA back into quieter waters was outstanding as in fact the existence of the GA was at stake. Under her leadership, the GA has made a considerable turnaround to a much brighter outlook today. Even in the pandemic, membership numbers are growing again. Several candidates will run for the Board when she will step back after two successful terms. This would not have been possible without her tremendous dedication that she has put into this task. Here are three exemplifying accomplishments of this time: - Expectations towards the GA had changed and necessary adaptations had been delayed. Under her guidance, the GA closed down the club house and moved on into a new programming and membership initiative that would cater to the needs of a new generation of German expatriates, but also start to reach out towards Singaporean citizens interested in Germany. This included the set-up of a variety of programmes for GA and its community that re-integrated it into the wider German-Singaporean community. It gave old and new members a renewed appreciation of their GA-membership. The GA became again a community organisation that catered to all ages and life-situation, increasing its overall attractiveness for members. - In addition, the financial situation stabilized significantly with the acquisition of new corporate members. They were offered attractive packages that stimulated other elements of the GA's activities. Among these was the creation of an online administrational tool that has increased effective membership administration as well as a better exchange among GA-members and the interested wider community. - Probably the most important element of all of these activities and a particular important tool in the GA’s outreach is ‚Impulse‘. The magazine for the German-speaking community in Singapore reaches out to more than 10,000 readers via its online and print editions. ‚Impulse‘ was threatened in its existence as well in 2018. It is significantly owed to your work that the magazine is back on its feet that continues to create a strong link among the German speakers and Singapore. Claudia has shown strong motivational skills building up the new GA-team, adding many new enthusiastic members and creating new experiences for this community. In her leadership role she has proven her managerial skills in a difficult time and worked closely with many German and Singaporean Institutions. Under her leadership the GA that looks back at more than 100 years of history has made important steps in repositioning itself and adjusting to a 21st century community club.
