  This project was a collaboration of the Undergraduate Research Scholars (URS) program with the UW-Madison Population Health Institute. The purpose of this project is to use specific language to describe groups of people and the indicators of their health. The overarching goal is to identify problematic language, disassemble it, and rebuild it to be clear, intentionally challenging, equitable, and representative of all groups. This is achieved by building off the main indicators of health from the County Health Rankings and Roadmaps website: Health Behaviors, Clinical Care, Social and Economic Factors, and Physical Environment. Through data analysis and literature reviews, I strove to critique and reshape health markers in communities in order to mitigate sickness and influence future community wellbeing.
