  My project consists on assessing the toxicity of neonicotinoids towards soil invertebrates. Within this project, I have assessed not only the toxicity of neonicotinoids using OECD protocols, but also I have developed different methodologies using different species of soil invertebrates. My goal is to bring more realism to the tests, using different species, natural soil (Lufa 2.2), and also trying to bridge the gap between ecology and toxicology by designing different methodologies that can incorporate the aspects of toxicity (e.g. endpoints reproduction and survival), but also ecology (e.g. ecosystem services).
