• Worked with Senior Program Manager to collate all available protected area data into one database. Produced reports, suitable for sharing with government, private sector and communities, for each of the active protected areas.• Together with the team comprising of Conservation International Timor-Leste, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Forestry, Ministry of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Land-use planning, we held meetings with 10 sucos (villages) to gather community feedback as well as explain the significance of zoning Nino Konis Santana National Park. • Supported the GIS staff in their efforts to map the community and government protected areas into government-recognised zones for protected areas. Produced maps for planning, tourism, and management purposes. • Learned how CI, as an environmental NGO, work independently and dependently with the government in conservation work.
