  I was originally recruited in 2016 to assist with a £700,000 Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 Upgrade project but after a few short months I was handed the responsibility of completing the project myself in the role of Project Execution Lead. Shortly after taking on this role, I was given increased scope of responsibility as a direct result of my demonstrated ability to learn and apply new knowledge. These included design and implementation of various Systems Engineering Applications and Servers. Other responsibilities included and were not limited to maintenance tasks such as WSUS security, Anti-Virus (SEP), Virtual environment configuration and maintenance (VMWare), server hardware and software configuration and maintenance (Mostly Dell) as well as securing and regular checks of maintenance laptops. I was also solely in charge of the servers running highly lucrative Dynamic Matrix Controllers and cross-unit Real Time Optimizers. I spearheaded the site upgrade of the DMC servers to the latest software version, working closely with Technology experts based in Houston to ensure the rollout was completed smoothly. I built, configured and maintained the refinery’s Equipment Health Monitoring systems which aid in early detection of equipment failure. I was also in charge of all site backups using Backup Exec, Veeam and Acronis which were used for various systems. I also became a large part of how process data trending was being delivered to the end user, whether it be a process operator or an engineer, as well and maintenance and upgrade of these systems. I am currently the sole Systems team member in charge of ensuring these systems remain up-to-date through execution of an update schedule that I have developed to minimize potential impact to the continuous plant operation while ensuring that these critical systems are as robust as possible.
