Tasked to create and develop the centralized NA Program Management Office (PMO) and Global PMO infrastructure, within the JELD-WEN Excellence Model (JEM) Group. Initial steps were conducted including the creation of the “Enterprise Program Management Office (ePMO)”, developing and promoting standardized procedures and tools, Gated Launch System enhancements. Initially assigned two critical support roles at mfg. sites, while concurrently developing the PMO structure: * Atlanta, GA: Door Plant – Recovery Project: System Failures and Manufacturing Production Constraints. 3-month task (June – Sept.), resulted in bringing the facility back up on line, meeting all critical deliverables. * San Diego, CA: Window Plant – Corporate Launch Leader for Auraline Composite Platform, largest new product development (NPD) in the history of the company. Composite product utilizing advanced manufacturing equipment and procedures. 18-month program with 5 launching phases, (Sept. 21 – Sept. 22). Overall responsibility for the North American Business Unit. Leading the Program Management Team on both local and global projects, utilizing a DevOps system for Research and Development (R&D) product launch, Product Support innovation projects, Quality Improvement initiatives, Cost Out and VA/VE focused events. Major Accomplishments: * Total restructure of PMO team including development of Job Descriptions, Roles and Responsibilities, Hiring Practices, Annual Review Metrics – Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), Career Glide Path and training plans to progress within the field, Upgrading / Raising the Bar. * 2017 – 2019 NA Team successfully launched in excess of 20 (major / minor) projects and multiple software EPIC / sprint events over this 2-year period as compared to very few over the previous 7 years. This was accomplished due to a variety of progressive factors including new external team member hiring across multiple departments (fresh ideas), focus on key business impacts, reducing overall launch cycle from “years” to 12 – 18 months or less. Also utilizing a new MVP (minimum viable product) vision “quick to market”, partnership with key groups (R&D, Manufacturing, Field and Quality). Team received the 2018 “Presidents Award” for the evolution 200 – TAC 32 Slim project launch (largest scale project in recent history). * Launch Process Re-set / Re-Write – Standard Product Development Process (SPDP). Enhanced and improved the monthly Product Review Committee (PRC), by developing standard rules, procedures, tracking systems, approval standards, roles and responsibilities. Led the development of all training materials and conducted the actual events for the entire group. * Creation of localized PMO System Management tools and process (PWA Share Point), later supported the adaption of a global tool replacement (DAPTIV).
