  Prior to Avnu Digital, Mr. Johnson was a Managing Director of an international business development company backed by an international hedge fund. In this capacity Mr. Johnson helped companies grow into and out of Asia in industries such as manufacturing, consumer products, mining, clean energy and cross border investment. Prior to working with the hedge fund Mr. Johnson was General Manager of Asia for a U.S. based start-up company for whom he established offices throughout China, hired and led twenty-five employees, and set up relationships with ODM and OEM manufacturers in China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan. Mr. Johnson helped the start-up to acquire a leading globally recognized branded company in 2005, transform the brand into a major consumer electronics company, and build annual sales from zero to nearly US$1 billion in under four years. His experience in international business began in 1995 when he joined a management team to establish and run an international joint venture between a US corporation and one of the largest manufacturing companies in the world based in Taiwan. Mr. Johnson has personally hosted high level Chinese government and corporate delegations in the U.S. and has met with high level central and municipal government officials in China on many occasions. Mr. Johnson earned a Masters of International Management degree from Portland State University and a BA degree in Mandarin Chinese and Asian Studies from Brigham Young University. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He resides in Boise, Idaho with his family. Show less
