  As a family business manufacturing furniture primarily for the education and hospitality sectors, as well as bespoke bedrooms, kitchens, and a range of children’s furniture, it was routine to have involvement in most daily aspects of company. As a designer, my key roles were the measuring of rooms at sites, generating accurate 2D & 3D layouts with rendered visuals of both the room and products, many of which were highly bespoke. Technical drawings were also produced for manufacture, which I was also involved in during summer months. As well as working in the factory, I was frequently part of site deliveries and installations, often as a driver. Managing installations at both commercial and residential sites, and liaising with clients, became a substantial aspect of the job during summer months.
