As Curator of Decorative Art, I was responsible for Museums Sheffield's collections of glass, ceramic, arms and armour, Chinese ivories and mostly significantly, the Designated Collection of Metalwork. This collection contains over 16,000 items, including one of the most comprehensive collections of cutlery in the world. In addition I was responsible for the World Cultures collections from 2012, containing over 2000 objects from Africa, America, Asia and Oceania. The role involved the acquisition, documentation, research, display, storage and interpretation of these collections. I am experienced in giving presentations, talks, tours and training on the collections to a wide variety of visitors, museum colleagues and specialists groups. I have worked on a number of large scale museum gallery development projects and regularly deliver new displays and exhibitions.
