As the Canberra representative of Halstead Press in 2011-12 when my book 'Hope' was in the process of being published, I found Clare both professional and friendly to deal with.

In a job share with the talented Bonnie Johnson, together we manage the Comms function for the Academy, help raise awareness of the role of social sciences in shaping society, informing government policy and helping us better understand being human, the world we live in and how our society works. We executive produce the Seriously Social podcast, create videos, newsletters, online and other resources and develop partnerships that highlight the work of Academy Fellows and the social sciences. Nutshell words & ideas
-
1999 - Sep 2022
For more than 20 years Nutshell words & ideas has been working with individuals, organisations to develop their ideas and find their voice. Highlights include a collaboration with early childhood professionals Evelyn Callaghan and Sarah White, to produce A Walk in The Park (2016). More than 200 fully illustrated pages, the book is a visual and word journey through their thoughtful, reflective 25+year partnership creating rich, irresistible learning environments for young children. For the National Library I worked on First Fleet Surgeon (2015), David Hill's history of the elusive Arthur Bowes Smyth, surgeon to the women convicts of the first fleet. From January 2010 until August 2012 Nutshell words & ideas managed the Canberra office of Halstead Press, a small Sydney-based publishing house producing fiction, non-fiction and offering self-publishing. Nutshell has a history of collaboration with individuals and consultancies on editing, writing and facilitation projects for a number of public sector and not for profit organisations. With GSA I was a consultant, trainer and group facilitator on assignments for the Departments of Veterans Affairs, Health and Ageing and similar organisations.
