Bio
John Blake
Clare brought to the PJA an excellent working knowledge of the horseracing industry and a desire to become an effective administrator. She quickly acquired new skills that strengthened her contribution to the sport - both office-based and off-site at racecourses, and across a variety of industry commitments. She has never lost sight of the principles of running a membership body, while able to realise a talent and confidence for communication that has increased her value to the business. Professional jockeys, and many amateurs who have come to rely on her expertise, are very fortunate to have first call on such a dedicated, resourceful and passionate advocate – someone who offers her organisation a unique ability to meet the daily task s of running a small organisation and the specialist knowledge that ensures credibility within a fast-changing sport. Clare’s track record for informing policy direction instils confidence in the growing membership she has diligently cultivated. In racing terms: she’s one to follow.
