This role was within a children’s home where short respite breaks are offered. The children have complex needs and require a high level of care. My key responsibility is ensuring that care, alongside robust safeguarding practices, is provided whilst the children are with us. I keep in close communication with the families and work hard to build the relationships with them. In addition, I oversee the day to day running of the home, supervising and managing the team whilst maintaining high standards of working practices. Show less

Sense is a charity who’s aim is to remove barriers to communication so that everyone, no matter how complex their disabilities are, can live life to the full. My responsibilities included working with our clients to develop their skills, using a person-centred approach to provide individual support for them and their family in their homes and within the residential care environment. I oversaw the day to day organisation and supervision of the support team alongside working directly with clients. Show less
