  Quality Assurance is a vital aspect in the food supply chain. At Sheridan’s Cheesemongers, I coordinated and implemented QA strategies. This involved reviewing and maintaining food safety management systems such as HACCP, good manufacturing practices, good hygiene practices, pre-requisite programmes, supplier risk assessments and hazard analysis and risk assessment for storage, distribution and production of foodstuff. I prepared samples of raw materials, finished product and environmental swabs for lab analysis as per risk based schedule, analysed all results, monitored performance of all suppliers of goods and services, liaised with regulatory authorities including HSE, DAFM and FSAI, reviewed supplier specifications, monitored customer complaints, carried out corrective and preventative actions on non-conformances and chaired monthly meeting of the HACCP team.Furthermore these activities acquired efficient communication skills with all departments to ensure compliance with QA procedures.
