I have had the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors at American Public Square at Jewell since Claire joined the organization in April 2019. Through this engagement, I have witnessed firsthand Claire’s impressive leadership, collaboration and community-building skills. It is always a pleasure to encounter people in your career whose work is motivated not by sheer ambition, but rather by a deeper need for purpose in life. Claire has struck me as one of these people from the moment I met her. Claire’s professional path has been characterized by this drive to seek purpose in her work. She held executive leadership positions at travel marketing firm MMGY Global and global nonprofit Children International before making a key pivot to the local nonprofit space in 2019.
