  The DCU Educational Trust was established to raise private support for the development of Dublin City University. As Senior Development Executive for the Trust, I work with individuals and organisations who are interested in building links with the university and supporting some of its important programmes. These include; the Access Scholarship Programme which now supports over 700 students from disadvantaged backgrounds throughout Ireland who would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend third level and pursue all that lies beyond that; the Sports Academy Scholarship programme which supports elite athletes to develop their sports career in a high performance setting while still pursuing their education; and partnerships in some of the range of important research carried out at DCU throughout the Faculties of Business, Science & Health, Engineering & Computing, Humanities & Social Science and Education and many more initiatives in areas such as conflict resolution, science and maths education, the Institute for Education, Visual Arts and the Centre for Family Business to name but a few.
