  I started working for Congressman Flores as their head intern on the 2010 campaign again Congressman Chet Edwards. Congressman Edwards had held the TX-17 office for almost 20 years. This race was considered to be one of the top five critical elections of the year. My job had several different responsibilities, from phone calling to knocking on doors. I even was put in charge of creating all of the excel sheets that we used throughout the election. After we won the race (by a double digit margin) I was hired on full time, even though I was still a full time student as well. I was the only intern that was offered a full time position after the race.
