Working with Helping hands we provide the best quality care to individuals in the community, The care is anything from 30 mins to full time live in. we provide customers with differing care needs from companion calls to complex care assistance. I manage a branch for Helping hands which spans over the Wirral and Chester. The branch has been operating since March 2015 and already has a substantial customer base. I have been fortunate to be a key player right from the start. I help to recruit and train the hourly team, be involved in managing customers and establishing Helping Hands standards, brand and procedures to ensure the highest service levels are achieved. I am responsible for every aspect of the hourly support side of the services in both performance and service development. As part of my role I am responsible for the compliance with all CQC regulations. I maintain all contractual agreements with LA’s/CCG and attend all Provider forums as requested by Authorities. I ensure all Safeguarding/Protection requirements are adhered to and met and ensure we are all adhering to Helping Hands complaints procedure which I handle complaints effectively against policy. managing two CQC services, one a residential home for 13 people the other a few miles away was a supported housing scheme offering seven individual flats for adults experiencing difficulties with enduring mental health conditions. Many people had a dual diagnosis and as a result often suffered with additions to alcohol, illegal substances or legal highs. I worked closely with outside agencies and sign posted for additional help. I managed two separate teams to deliver the highest service to meet the needs of the individuals we supported. As part of my role I was responsible for the compliance with all CQC regulations. Adhering to conditions laid out by the home office and probation service as well as health care community orders. I maintained all contractual agreements with LA’s/CCG and attend all Provider forums as requested by Authorities. I ensure all Safeguarding/Protection requirements are adhered to and met. Show less

I was a registered manager for Seashells which provides a service making it possible for people with learning disabilities, older people and those with a diagnosis of dementia to stay at home, and not go unnecessarily into a residential or nursing home. I was registered with the CSSIW and adhered to their regulations having regular inspections. I managed a team of people to deliver care to people in their own homes, ensuring I was fully supporting them with training, supervision and support. I conducted assessments in order to provide accurate care to those who used the service, and ensured the correct procedures were followed when dealing with complaints and concerns relating to the care and service provision. Brand new project which I implemented from the start. This was to set up to provide support to adults from 18-65 with mental health conditions with support to prevent them becoming homeless or finding new homes if they were already homeless. This was a floating support service which covered the Denbighshire area. This was holistic support so we often worked in conjunction with other agencies such as the CMHT, Probation, housing services and other health care professionals. The service was time limited and funded through supporting people, it was originally for one year but extended due to the growing need. Unfortunately this service eventually came to an end in March 2011. Show less
