Working as a Geological Assistant over a 6 week period in my final years as a student at Glasgow University. Duties involved inputting soil grading data into spread sheets, writing a geological summary for a quarry and an introduction to trial pitting at an active quarry site with the aim to determine the suitability of the soils to be worked as a sand and gravel deposit.
