I began as a practicum student and transitioned into termed employment at the university. As a communications coordinator, I worked remotely on a small, fast-paced team in a rigorous environment, writing key messages and communications plans, and contributing content.I led a number of strategic planning projects, the biggest of which was creating and launching a newsletter strategy for the manager, leader and HR audience at the university. Getting it off the ground involved conducting research by focus groups and a survey, as well as changing email marketing platforms. I also created content for university web pages and a number of newsletters for university staff and students which involved translating technical language and jargon into plain, easy to read, English. I still return to Bunches to work on the odd floral holiday--I can't stay away from the energy of the team and the pretty flowers!When I was an employee, I balanced multiple responsibilities including customer sales, floral order and delivery processing, and floral design; delivered excellent customer service over the phone and in-store to coordinate floral purchases ranging from small every-day purchases to large wedding and funeral orders; worked diligently on teams of 13+ staff… I still return to Bunches to work on the odd floral holiday--I can't stay away from the energy of the team and the pretty flowers!When I was an employee, I balanced multiple responsibilities including customer sales, floral order and delivery processing, and floral design; delivered excellent customer service over the phone and in-store to coordinate floral purchases ranging from small every-day purchases to large wedding and funeral orders; worked diligently on teams of 13+ staff during the busiest floral holidays (e.g., Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day); and handled cash, credit and online transactions.
