I managed a clinical team that provided clinical guidance and support to all areas of the programme to ensure that the clinical impact was considered for each decision or change. I also defined the services areas that were out of scope for the programme with alternative workflows. I maintained the risk, issue and decision logs and project plan and coordinated all the user acceptance testing and the development of inpatient journey test scripts to ensure a smooth transition. Clinical involvement is at the heart of the programme and I, therefore, worked closely with the other workstream leads, particularly order communications, PAS, clinical documentation and theatres to produce workflows that documented the patient journey within the Cerner application.

Project/Change Manager (Cerner Millenium - Order Comms)
-
Jul 2020 - Apr 2021
United Kingdom I manage the Order Communication Workstream as part of a large programme team deploying a new electronic patient record system across two Trusts. We established the current systems and processes before mapping them to the Cerner (‘as is’ to ‘to be’). This involved documenting all requirements and raising change requests and then testing and demonstrating the workflow. I was approached to move within the programme to lead the clinical informatics workstream before the system went live.
