In a private equity context I’ve advised and or helped create over 60 public unlisted company Boards and worked with numerous organisations over the last 15yrs that put forward lists of potential Directors. In my experience, Women on Boards has been the premier source of Director talent in Australia. WOB has been able to help the Boards I’ve advised find the specific domain skills Boards were looking for, Directors with the right attitude to growth businesses, Directors with deep Governance experience & most importantly Directors that were genuinely focused on supporting founders and early stage investors grow businesses into substantial assets.

I have been a member of Women on Boards ("WOB") since October 2007. I met Claire through WOB at a training and networking event held in Perth, November 2007. The event and her advice was practical and inspiring. Claire and Women on Boards have been very active in promoting both women for board positions and available board positions to WOB members. They offer advice and support networks for existing directors as well as encouraging and supporting new or potential directors. Through active promotion of sussessful women, their succcesses and difficulties, and work in the business community, including through CPA Australia, women are being given a solid platform from which to connect with boards and directorships. This in turn highlights to the business community the strength of women and the need for diversity on boards. A testament to Claire's drive and dedication is the continued growth of WOB nationally.
