SoftBank Robotics Europe (SBRE, ex-Aldebaran) is a French company which is part of a Japanese group, world leader in the field of humanoid robotics. This company is present internationally: France, China, Japan and the United States. My mission is to set up an innovative and agile approach in which the technical aspects of research and development meet the needs of the market. In my role of management and supervision, I ensure that the developments delivered are of high quality and they meet the needs initially expressed by the client. The project has an end user centred approach. The ‘human element’ is therefore at the centre of our technical solutions. On a daily basis, we must take into account the principles specific to the project: - The user experience must always come first, - The technical team and our customers have a privileged relationship, - Features are all analysed, measured and improved. This project had no model within SBRE, we did not hesitate to create our own methodology, exportable to other teams in the future. From a project management point of view it is an interesting challenge. Pepper is a robot that has functionalities that we can organise in categories, it is able to move, to express itself with its body, to speak, to listen, to discuss, to see, to recognise.
